Tina Dietz: Coziness with a touch of Pastel

So… You know when you only need to see a few images of an Instagram feed and you’re all sold on the style? This is what we felt with Tina’s!

Tina Dietz’ apartment is relaxing and filled with cool pieces that are carefully curated. From a cool rosé chair to a wonderfully big plant in her living room, all the parts of the apartment work super nicely together, creating a cozy atmosphere which we love.

She was so kind to give a glimpse into her nice home - filled with unique vintage pieces, classics - and a whole lot of pastel details, just as we like them!

Tina, you’re mixing minimalist colors with cool, colorful elements in your apartment. How do you start when you decorate a new room?

“Before I start furnishing, I like to view the room empty. That helps me get a good feel for it.

I usually use Pinterest for inspiration. Before I start decorating, I always create a mood board. There I can perfectly see how colours and materials harmonise.

Since I've been living in the flat for a while, I always wait a while before I start with the makeover. I want to be sure that my idea will look good in the long term.“

How has your style evolved over the years?

“A lot has happened in the last few years. You could say I've grown up in this flat.

In the past, my flats were very playful and colourful.

I still love that, but I care more about sustainability and love unique pieces. Now it's important to me to use vintage items on the one hand and designer pieces on the other.

I think several times before I invest in my home. Every piece is well chosen.“

Where do you find new items for your apartment online?

“I love looking for furniture on Ebay Kleinanzeigen, where you can find beautiful vintag treasures. Otherwise I love Westwing and Connox.

I also regularly look for treasures at flea markets.“

Do you have one or more interior design tips that can make a big difference?

“It is very important to inject personality into your home. This automatically makes every room look individual.

At the same time, you should not be too much focused on trends. Find your very own style. Play with materials and colours. Feel the home you live in.

This means that it can take a while before a home feels like a home.

And most important, in a home you are never done with decorating. It grows just as we do over the years with challenges and personal tasks.“

Thank you, Tina!
